Gala Academy's
badminton coaching

To support DofE Awards

What we offer

Structured badminton coaching that aligns with the Bronze, Silver and Gold Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Awards, helping students improve technical skills, fitness, and personal development in a supportive environment.

Each individual will be assessed on their capabilities, and Gala Academy will provide a personalised learning journey matched to their ability, ensuring every participant is supported to progress at their own pace.

DofE Award Support (Bronze, Silver & Gold)

  • Physical: Take part in regular badminton sessions to build fitness, agility, and coordination. Silver and Gold participants train more frequently and may compete in local tournaments.

  • Skills: Learn and refine essential badminton techniques—footwork, serving, doubles strategies—with Silver and Gold participants focusing on advanced gameplay and tactical awareness. Read more about extended opportunities...

  • Volunteering: Assist coaches with warm-ups and cool-downs, and help teach foundation skills to beginner players. Silver participants can progress to leadership roles such as leading warm-ups or mentoring junior players.
