What is community?

Reforming a junior badminton community

Why?

Gala Academy's vision for Juniors delves into community engagement, focusing on how entities can collaborate to create a supportive environment for growth and learning.

Who are the community?

In junior badminton, the community comprises, Schools, Hubs and Independent coaches each playing a vital role in fostering a nurturing environment for young badminton athletes. The foundation of any thriving community lies in its definition and understanding of the roles.

Schools serve as primary educational institutions providing the initial exposure to sports like badminton through physical education classes.

Hubs act as central points of convergence, bringing together resources, people, and opportunities to create a more cohesive and resource-rich environment.

These hubs might be specialised sports centres or community clubs, and, Independent coaches, operating either within these hubs or as standalone, offering curated training programs tailored to a standard for focused development.
