Our Goal in Helping Invisible Disabilities

Introducing Mindful Motion

At Gala Academy, we understand that large, busy classes can feel overwhelming for children with invisible disabilities and neurodiverse conditions. Even when these children are bright, capable, and eager to participate, they may struggle in traditional settings. That's why we've designed a supportive badminton course called Mindful Motion. This program helps children find their flow, build confidence, and enjoy badminton at their own pace.

Outcomes

With small class sizes of just six, we’re not here to take children out of the game. Instead, we aim to help them love it. By nurturing their confidence, skills, and enjoyment in a safe, understanding environment, we prepare them to transition or rejoin group badminton sessions.

Building Confidence Through Play

Confidence is key in any sport. In Mindful Motion, we focus on creating a positive atmosphere where children can explore their abilities. How It Works

• New Children: We start with a warm conversation and gentle assessment. This helps us explore your child's strengths, challenges, and what makes them feel secure. From there, we create a tailored plan that nurtures growth while preparing them to thrive in a broader class environment.

  
  

• Children Already on a Course: We speak individually with parents and the student to explore how Mindful Motion can complement their current program. Our goal is to provide extra support without singling them out.
